alchemist__ 0 Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 Is there any way to change the structure of folders and file naming from folder sync ? The auto conversion and copy to folder is working great - but I would like to change the structure of the folders for TV Sync - It current creates /Show/Season/Episode name/File - I would like to stop creating the per episode folders and just put all the files in the season folder - any way to do this ?
Luke 42078 Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 There currently are no settings for this but it's a good idea to make that change in the future. thanks.
alchemist__ 0 Posted July 15, 2018 Author Posted July 15, 2018 Thanks Luke - Here is a little code to hardlink the files up one directory for anyone googling - this does not take any more space on the filesystem - but the files will be in both places - It is a little convoluted so that it works in busybox which is my target device shell - it could probably be refactored. You can run this after every sync. mindepth is assuming Show > Season > Episode > - files at 4th level - it is not related to find path - this prevents the find linking all the way up the parent tree on subsequent runs. find /mnt/sync/TV/ -mindepth 4 -iname *.mp4 -exec sh -c 'ln "{}" "$(dirname "$(dirname "{}")")/$(basename "{}" )"' \;
tobedeleted 4 Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 I'd like to have an option to modify the folder structure, too. For me the predefined hierarchy makes FolderSync completely unusable. E.g. I want to upload home videos to a webspace, but the logic in which the folders a created there is not fitting for the purpose.
