mbc0 68 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) Hi, currently I have the following file structure on my server HPSERVER/TV Pool HPSERVER/Movie Pool HPSERVER/Motorsport Pool etc..etc I need to change this (for XBMBC3) to HPSERVER/VIdeopool/TV Pool HPSERVER/Videopool/Movie Pool HPSERVER/Videopool/Motorsport Pool etc..etc Obviously the file path is going to change & I am concerned about the watch status & how to best move all this data? Can somebody please offer any advice? Many Thanks Edited April 1, 2014 by mbc0
gcw07 347 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 As far as I know watched status is no longer tied directly to the file location, but more to the name/id of the video. So I think it should be fine, but let's get Luke or someone to confirm that. 1
Solution ebr 16179 Posted April 1, 2014 Solution Posted April 1, 2014 For things that have global IDs from places like tmdb or tvdb we now use that ID to key user data (which includes play status). So, moving the physical location should not lose this information. 2
mbc0 68 Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 Thanks Fella's I will test this with a few folders first to be safe :-D Cheers
dexvx 1 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Is the Watched Status based on the server account? E.g. If I use an account named "Bob", will all the watched be synced regardless of where "Bob" logs in from?
luke102280 6 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I keep two locations master bedroom and livingroom both logged into the same user on MBS via MBC3 but I have to log in and out for the watched status to update, is there a way to set a polling interval to update the two machines watched statuses?

Not at this time. I believe the server sends out notifications for user data changes though so we can probably sync them up. That is just one of those little things that hasn't been tied up yet as I've been working through other major features. 1
