aahmyu 9 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Hello, In the music library settings i set the number of downloaded backdrops for artists to 5 but when i force refresh emby downloads only 1 for some reason. when i do manual search I get alot of results. the same setting works fine on other none libraries.
Luke 42093 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 How did you force refresh? did you check the image providers and see if they actually have more than one backdrop for your artists?
aahmyu 9 Posted July 11, 2018 Author Posted July 11, 2018 (edited) How did you force refresh? did you check the image providers and see if they actually have more than one backdrop for your artists? From the refresh metadata option in the artist page with replace images "this works fine on other libraries". For your second question there are only 2 providers fanart and the audiodb. when i click manually on search for more backdrops from the edit images in artist page the audiodb returns alot of images. Luke 42093 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Did you check their resolution and compare that to your backdrop downloading settings?
aahmyu 9 Posted July 11, 2018 Author Posted July 11, 2018 Did you check their resolution and compare that to your backdrop downloading settings? Yep. The default setting in the fetcher is 1280 meanwhile there are 1080 images in the manual search.
FrostByte 5396 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Try setting the width to 1080 then if you want those. That setting is the minimum width
aahmyu 9 Posted July 11, 2018 Author Posted July 11, 2018 Try setting the width to 1080 then if you want those. That setting is the minimum width I think the default settings are fine, the problem is with fetching the images from the sources.
Luke 42093 Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Ok the issue is that since artists are a shared/tagged item and not the actual media itself, that's why the per library settings are not being utilized and it is always using default settings. We will need to review this to see what the possible approaches might be. Thanks.
