skidmarks 199 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 (edited) Not sure if i should post this here or in plugins? Have finally jumped off Plex! With shuffle incorporated into the Roku Beta (which you should drop into non-beta asap) my need for Plex has vanished. Great Job! Maybe i forgot how, but i have Cinema Mode inabled and selected 1 local trailer to play before movies. That doesn't happen. Every Movie in my collection has a local trailer /movie name/movie name-trailer If i add a custom intro parh that does play, but not sure how annoying that will be! Do have Cinema Mode and Trailers Plugins installed... (but not so sure I need trailers plugin any longer). Not looking to ability to DL trailers, just play local ones. Thanks in advance... ebr 16187 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Hi. Is this problem across all apps or only with the Roku? Can you try with the web app? Can you also try unchecking that option for smart parental control?
skidmarks 199 Posted July 11, 2018 Author Posted July 11, 2018 (edited) Can verify it is not working in Android TV / Roku / Local Server Web / Android Phone Have turned off smart parental control. Have the option (that i can not recall the exact terminology) for cinema mode enabled in these apps. Should also mention that i am running Version 3.4.1.31 beta. I am off to an infusion for a few hours... Thanks for the quick response ebr (and the work you put into emby)! Edited July 11, 2018 by skidmarks
Luke 42083 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Did you make sure to enable cinema mode in the apps as well?
Oracle 85 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 I disabled parental control & it worked fine for me!
skidmarks 199 Posted July 11, 2018 Author Posted July 11, 2018 Hey guys... Back from "the chair". I did verify that cinema mode was selected in the android tv app and the web interface on the server. No joy. Restarted emby numerous times, rebooted the server as well. Do have a question, I uninstalled the trailer plugin during some troubleshooting. Really didn't think I needed that in order to run local trailers? Don't recall that being required for what I was doing (local only) in the past? Thanks!
skidmarks 199 Posted July 12, 2018 Author Posted July 12, 2018 Uninstalling emby and reinstalling it one last time. Had to kill the Electron service (two were running but utilizing 0% resources) three times in the past two days. Couldn't even get to the web UI from the server. I know my libraries are in OCD order and positive my machine has more than enough power to handle server duties... If Plex can do it emby shouldn't struggle with my setup. So cleaning out my current emby files and doing a clean install seems like the obvious starting point. Thanks guys!
Solution Luke 42083 Posted July 13, 2018 Solution Posted July 13, 2018 It's resolved for the next release, thanks. 1
