Question about sub titles

Hi Guys, not sure if this is the correct place but when i click on cc on my movie to see the sub titles, the movie pauses and does not resume. I have a .sub & .idx file along side my medias file. Am i doing something wrong?

OK Luke. I attached the emby server & ffmpeg log. I have 3 files in my media folder....the show, a .sub & .idx file.

What app are you playing from? What time did you try to play?

I just tried it through my pc that host emby server...which was 5 minutes before i made this 1st post. I tried it yesterday on the fire tv stick.

At the moment no because there's a lot of playback activity in this server log and none of them show an obvious problem. Also the included ffmpeg doesn't have any subtitles selected.

I'm working now but I will clear the logs and try it again when I have time.
