Question about rebuilding database with locked .nfos

i've uninstalled the server and reinstalled, everything is ok besides one thing:

 

(i have centralized metadata)

 

I'm having lots of errors in the log regarding "permission" denied when the scan is going through all the locked metadata .nfos i have in my HDDs

Some of those movies are being added to the server, others are not.

 

Locked metadata also prevents a database rebuild is that it?

I'm asking because I made the test to unlock a specific metadata and suddenly no more permission errors.

 

 

On another note, when we perform a database scan the deletes orphaned metadata/images in the centralized folder?

Locked metadata doesn't prevent anything. It sounds like you enabled saving to nfo files but didn't give the server write access to your folders.

So if one is to rebuild from existing metadata should they disable all library functions?

Depends on what they want. I was just taking a guess at the error. Would need to see the server log.
