dansblackcat 37 Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 Hi everyone Originally posted my issue here (post #49)- https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/5603-sony-bravia-error/page-3 Started a fresh thread because I discovered that my issue isn't limited to just my Sony TV. I am unable to access TV shows or Favourites on any of my DLNA devices. Next up, Resume and Latest folders all work fine and media within them plays without issue. Movies and Music work fine. My devices show the following errors when I try to access shows or favourites:- Sony TV: Cannot receive the content list Panasonic TV: connection to the server failed PS3: DLNA protocol error 4405 TV works fine on Web Client and also EMC.
Luke 42077 Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 Would you mind installing bubble upnp on one of them and seeing how this compares? thanks.
dansblackcat 37 Posted July 9, 2018 Author Posted July 9, 2018 Hi Luke, Bubble upnp is the same. Tv shows and favorites are empty, all other folders are fine.
dansblackcat 37 Posted July 9, 2018 Author Posted July 9, 2018 (edited) Just updated to the latest .29 beta server and it's working again now. Edited July 9, 2018 by dansblackcat
dansblackcat 37 Posted July 9, 2018 Author Posted July 9, 2018 Did you push through a fix of some kind or was it just a coincidence?
dansblackcat 37 Posted July 9, 2018 Author Posted July 9, 2018 (edited) I spoke too soon. I now see all the tv shows in the folder but there are no season folders or episodes. No errors like previously reported, they're just empty Sorry for jumping the gun Edited July 9, 2018 by dansblackcat
Luke 42077 Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 Please make sure to attach the information requested in how to report a problem: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/790-how-to-report-a-problem/?view=getnewpost Thanks.
dansblackcat 37 Posted July 11, 2018 Author Posted July 11, 2018 (edited) Ok so I've had no luck fixing this myself. Here's what I've tried and tested. My TV folder is on the same drive as my Music folder which works fine so I assumed it's not a drive issue. I checked all folder permission and they look ok. I made a second TV folder (TV2) on a different drive (the same drive as my movies) and added it on the emby server by creating a second tv library (called TV shows) rather than adding it to the existing one (TV). I added a single TV series (Weeds) to test and ran all the necessary scans. The new library has the same issues as the other one. The series itself appears fine but when entering into it on any DLNA devices it is empty, no season folders or any media. dansblackcat 37 Posted July 13, 2018 Author Posted July 13, 2018 Updated the server last night and played a few TV episodes. All working great. Many thanks for your help and effort Luke ( and any others involved). Really appreciated.
