i did that update procedure etc and again locked everything down but attached is log. if i cant update im stuck with 3.3.1

It's just due to a subtitle download failure. You've apparently hit a daily download limit. I wouldn't worry about it. The server will try to download them again next time.

But says library scan failed and paths cant be found as outlined at first post and my quickbox sees emby as disabled.

Nothing was moved just installed new deb file and it just broke it .. legacy way was running well with it all

Ok currently it is not supported to switch between the two packages. The new installation package requires a fresh start. There are some workarounds to symlink /var/lib/emby-server to /var/lib/emby

To switch between the legacy and new packages, our suggestion is a fresh install. This means you'd have to uninstall and purge your current setup.

I was able to work around this by creating a symbolic link with the following commands:

ln -s emby emby-server
chown -h emby:emby emby-server

i will give this a try and report back , hopefully it works.
