Luke 42078 Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 So at this point you're no longer seeing double seasons, right? The only thing now is the sort order? Is that correct?
Jerren 17 Posted July 26, 2018 Author Posted July 26, 2018 (edited) Yes to all 3 questions EDIT: I decided to check every single show and i noticed that the 100 has a double season again. EDIT2: checking further i see that other shows now have bad season sorting aswell, only thing that happened so far is reboots of emby and scans so no idea why it's happening. It's only shows that are still running so shows like breaking bad that are done for a while won't have it. Maybe it has to do with some sort of mix up in the metadata sorting? They are correct after a reinstall (not the sort order but the no double listing bit) but as it scans the libraries afterwards, i get double listed seasons again and also more wrong sort order. So i checked the sort order in the series metadata listing and saw moviedb, tvdb and other were in a different order each time. Switched a couple so they would be the identical order everywhere and scanning now, i'll report back with results. Edited July 26, 2018 by jerren
Luke 42078 Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 For the sorting, check the metadata editor for the seasons. You may have customized sort titles for some of them. Make sure they all consistent in terms of either having a custom sort title, or not having one.
Jerren 17 Posted July 26, 2018 Author Posted July 26, 2018 The scan is at 98% so no results yet but with "the metadata editor" do you mean library management? I didn't do any customizing before the scans ran, all i did was tick on the extra options where to look for stuff.
Luke 42078 Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 I mean clicking the 3-dot menu on a season and clicking edit. Some of them may have custom sort titles applied.
Jerren 17 Posted July 26, 2018 Author Posted July 26, 2018 My changes in sorting made changes to images but nothing else. When i click the 3dot menu on a season and choose change metadata (don't see an actual edit option). With Supernatural i have one season that doesn't show the path and several that don't have a season number, i could alter the season numbers for those that don't have it but seems odd that it doesn't get it from the metadata sites. With the 100 series the additional season also doesn't show the path where the files are but does show the season number and the other seasons show the path but no season number. added screens: gave them fitting names but thought i'ld explain anyway, first 2 are off the 100 1 shows filepath but no season number in the metadata while the other shows no filepath but does show the season number. 3rd one is of supernatural where the first one Season 11 has filepath and seasonnumber - Season 14 has no filepath but a seasonnumber - the ones after the first 2 all have filepath but no seasonnumber. Title says Season X but that's because of folder structure i assume.
Luke 42078 Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 Season 1 is missing a season number in Emby. Try entering that.
Jerren 17 Posted July 26, 2018 Author Posted July 26, 2018 Yes i know it's missing a season number, i typed that out. I was hoping we would get to why it doesn't have a season number because i have other shows with this issue and i don't know but maybe others have it too. It would fix more then just my case if we get to the why.
Luke 42078 Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 It's actually due to translation it appears. We just weren't recognizing seizoen as a name for a season folder. I will add that for the next release. Thanks.
Jerren 17 Posted July 26, 2018 Author Posted July 26, 2018 (edited) Oooh well that's surprisingly simple to fix then. I'm gonna want to wait for the next release then just to see if the fix helps, it probably will, but i like to make sure . Edited July 26, 2018 by jerren
Luke 42078 Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Keep in mind the regular library scan is only looking for new and updated files, so it will require manual refreshes with the next release.
Jerren 17 Posted August 9, 2018 Author Posted August 9, 2018 I tried doing the full library scans and show specific scans to update / search for missing / replace metadata and so far the season are still as they were before. On server version 3.5.2.0 now which i assume is what you ment with next release.
Luke 42078 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Since i haven't reproduced this I would suggest trying with the next release as many areas of the database are being overhauled. thanks.
