Jerren 17 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 (edited) Basically in some shows (it looks like it's only with shows that are still currently being aired) i see a season multiple times, it will show season 4 - 5 and then 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 and according to what i can see those doubles show the exact same episodes. I can't see any errors in the logs. I rebooted emby, then the machine still the same so i searched on the forum and didn't find anything similar. I included some screenshots so you can see what i mean. edit: just to show more odd stuff about this, in some shows the seasons aren't even following any logic in order, i tried changing the folder name from season 1 to season 01 just to see if that would help which it didn't. Happy2Play 9780 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 On the doubles if you enter a episode do the both show the same path in the media info or metadata?
Luke 42078 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 Can you show screenshots of the folder structure for an example series? Thanks.
Jerren 17 Posted July 8, 2018 Author Posted July 8, 2018 Yes both show the exact same filepath driveletter\series\show\season\episode , rest of the file info is the same aswell. Upload of folderstructure included aswell (also this is for multiple series not just the 100, just using them as an example)
Luke 42078 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 If you add a brand new series does this happen with that?
Jerren 17 Posted July 8, 2018 Author Posted July 8, 2018 So just make a new folder for the 100, put all the episodes in and let the metadata scan run?
Jerren 17 Posted July 8, 2018 Author Posted July 8, 2018 It shows an extra season now, which is identical to season 5
Luke 42078 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 Ok we'll have a new release in the coming days, I think we should reevaluate with that since as of right now I can't reproduce this. Thanks.
Jerren 17 Posted July 21, 2018 Author Posted July 21, 2018 I'm on version 3.5.0.0 now and i still see the same as on the previous version. However just for completenes i see that some shows do in fact have correct listing while they didn't before (the walking dead for example had the problem on the old version, it doesn't anymore). On the example of the 100 i still see like the screenshot i linked earlier and the example of supernatural is still a mishmash orderwise, whatever order it had in the earlier shown screenshot is different now. i ran a scan for new and updated files but changed nothing. I also ran the scan for missing metadata (which took considerably longer then the other scan) but also changed nothing
Luke 42078 Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 Can you try adding a new series? I will have to double check and see if the changes will have an impact on existing series. thanks.
Jerren 17 Posted July 22, 2018 Author Posted July 22, 2018 Should i move the show, let the library scan run and then add the show or just move all the episodes in a new folder and then scan? Would try it with supernatural series this time.
Luke 42078 Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 Well i was hoping you'd test with a brand new show but yes you could try moving a show out, running a scan, then putting it back. Thanks.
Jerren 17 Posted July 22, 2018 Author Posted July 22, 2018 Just tried it with supernatural like you suggested, didn't work and as an added oddity on series main screen it shows a "1" as in i still need to see an episode. Yet when i go in the supernatural screen where i see the season listings, i have seen all the episodes since all the episodes have the V symbol on them. I'll look for a new show to try with in the morning. But atleast we know it doesn't fix it for current shows like that on the current version.
Jerren 17 Posted July 25, 2018 Author Posted July 25, 2018 Can i just make a folder, name it a show and make a sufficient amount of season folders inside the show folder without actually having to download the show somewhere? Most shows i'm getting recommended from friends i already have or have only 1 season so far. Also would a reinstallation of emby help?
Jerren 17 Posted July 25, 2018 Author Posted July 25, 2018 (edited) Ok made one for elementary and as you can see on the included screenshot, there is an extra season 6 atleast the other seasons are in order. Guess i'll try to reinstall emby now since it will do it with a new show too. EDIT: Reinstalled but didn't take any of the delete "x" files options since i didn't know what was safe to remove. I'm going to try it again and each time take one extra option. Edited July 25, 2018 by jerren
Luke 42078 Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 That's very strange. I will keep trying to reproduce this. Thanks.
Jerren 17 Posted July 25, 2018 Author Posted July 25, 2018 (edited) K it's scanning media library sadly all my viewed not viewed stuff is gone so i'll have to check that later on, once it's done i'll report back with if the seasons are still weird like that. EDIT: ok so it's done and most shows are fine, however big bang theory and doctor who list seasons as 1 10 11 2 3 see screenshot, i checked the metadata sites and seasons are listed properly there so no idea why it's doing this. Supernatural is the only show that is fucked up without logic and again metadata sites show the seasons properly listed. I got no clue why these 3 are not working properly (checking more and one piece has it too) Edited July 26, 2018 by jerren
