Crestj 68 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) I have to auto-organise this tv show manually which always worked in the past but when I try it for this episode I get this in the log and nothing happens. 2014-04-01 09:51:39.7284 Info - App: Sorting file P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E04.mkv into series \\homeserver\Videos\TV Shows\Cosmos - A Space Time Odyssey 2014-04-01 09:51:39.7284 Warn - App: Unable to sort P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E04.mkv because target path could not be determined. All other automatic and manual auto-organise's work fine. Have restarted the server but it made no difference. Any ideas? Edited April 1, 2014 by Crestj
Crestj 68 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 I presume either no one else is watching Cosmos or it's just me with this issue. :-( Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Luke 42079 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 because it can't match up Cosmos to Cosmos - A Space Time Odyssey
Crestj 68 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) Even when I manually match it from the Auto-organise page? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Edited April 2, 2014 by Crestj
Crestj 68 Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Just completely removed the TV Series, deleted all folders to do with Cosmos and recreated it without the "-" so the folder is now: Cosmos A Space Time Odyssey but after MB3 discovered it and fetched all the metadata it still failed to auto organise it. This is fine as I have a few TV series like this but manually organising it with the arrow button on the auto-organise page doesn't work either still. I tried all 4 episodes: 2014-04-04 10:57:04.1885 Info - App: Sorting file P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E04.mkv into series \\homeserver\Videos\TV Shows\Cosmos A Space Time Odyssey 2014-04-04 10:57:04.2198 Warn - App: Unable to sort P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E04.mkv because target path could not be determined. 2014-04-04 10:57:12.0475 Info - App: Sorting file P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E01.mkv into series \\homeserver\Videos\TV Shows\Cosmos A Space Time Odyssey 2014-04-04 10:57:12.0475 Warn - App: Unable to sort P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E01.mkv because target path could not be determined. 2014-04-04 10:57:19.9065 Info - App: Sorting file P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E02.mkv into series \\homeserver\Videos\TV Shows\Cosmos A Space Time Odyssey 2014-04-04 10:57:19.9065 Warn - App: Unable to sort P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E02.mkv because target path could not be determined. 2014-04-04 10:57:26.9062 Info - App: Sorting file P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E03.mkv into series \\homeserver\Videos\TV Shows\Cosmos A Space Time Odyssey 2014-04-04 10:57:26.9062 Warn - App: Unable to sort P:\ServerFolders\Videos\New\Cosmos.A.Space.Time.Odyssey.S01E03.mkv because target path could not be determined. 2014-04-04 10:57:31.1091 Info - App: LogFileWebSocketListener Begin transmitting over websocket to 192.168.1.16:62270 I don't understand why it's telling me the "target path could not be determined" 90% of my TV shows are sorted by auto-organise automatically and only a couple require manual intervention but this series seems to like neither! The "Path" setting in the Edit page of MB shows the path perfectly: \\homeserver\Videos\TV Shows\Cosmos A Space Time Odyssey Is there a target path set somewhere in an XML file that I need to check?
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Have this occur for some series and have to manually sort them myself. Never really put a lot of thought into it. Would be nice if you matched a pattern to a specific show, if the system remembered that for next time though.
Crestj 68 Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 It's not that it isn't sorting them automatically, I can live with that. The problem is that it can't even sort it when I use the manual method and pick the series it is from the drop down menu. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Yeah, I occasionally get the same. Usually when the folder name for the series doesn't match the entry on thetvdb.com exactly or the season folder doesn't exist. I have had a couple refuse to sort in the past because MediaBrowser hadn't downloaded any metadata yet.
Crestj 68 Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Hmmm, seems I will just have to move it in Explorer and rename it manually and let MB3 pick it up. Glad its not just me! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
IcyBergals 8 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Could it be something to do with the file path being too long? Sometimes I encounter that when unRARing files with really long names.
fraenhawk 61 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Not to resurrect an old thread but I searched for my problem and this matched the closest. I have a single episode that won't organize, even manually. The one thing I noticed it your title on TVDB and in my episode name is that they both have colons. Is there a problem with colon (since that means something else entirely in a path)? All the other episodes of this organized, but this one special (which I tried manually typing and even tried renaming to s00e36 so it would automatch) refuses to move. fraenhawk 61 Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 So much for that theory. After seeing it fail with the same target path error every 15 minutes, at 10:45PM it decided to work and sorted it into the proper folder. As far as I can tell, no changes were made on tvdb to the episode info.
