The TVDB doesn't give me any images?

Doesn't matter what I do, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Highlander etc. I tried to find art for the Specials section, confirm that the images do exist on the TVDB but Emby cannot pull them. Attached log of the past couple minutes.

Did you make sure that tvdb is enabled for that emby library?

Yes. Fanart, tvdb, moviedB all checked. Other seasons seem to work, just specials don't.

Full log. Sorry, figured maybe something at the time of the occurrence would be more relevant.

did you verify that your series in emby has a tvdb id?

Yes.

Also I'd just like to point out. I had completely re-installed Emby server just a few days ago because I was on beta, and chose to go back, did a full wipe of the appdata folder, re-installed new, entirely new library starting from fresh.

Not sure if it's related but I also cannot get Toy Story movies to go into a collection, shows a collection in the collections view, but shows the three movies in All view. Only movies that do this, maybe it's related maybe not, Idk. Also attaching log for today.

Edit, and yes, the moviedb collection is tagged in metadata.

Try exploring the settings in the autoboxset plugin that determine when a boxset gets created.

I've refreshed several times. Also, I've tried adding to the collection manually. No dice. Is there like a db or dll or something that is just borked? I can delete and reinstall over it.

Nothing is borked, it is your metadata and the autoboxset settings. This is all covered in the troubleshooting section of our autoboxsets wiki:

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/AutoBoxSets

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

I did that prior to posting lol. Correct boxset and metadata. All tagged properly, removed collection and refreshed, tried to add manually, no go.

Reason I ask if something is borked is because of prior issues that I would need to delete library.db, figured it might be something similar.

What exactly did you do? Because based on your earlier screenshot it looks like you were looking at something else.

Ok I believe I derailed the conversation.

Before everything, back with the music conversation, it was mentioned that beta Emby had some additional enhancements to music tagging. I upgraded but didn't see any real difference.

So I went back to stable. I shut down emby, I removed the system and programdata folders in the appdata folder, ran the installer. Set up fresh.

Initially the issue was none of the specials were downloading art. Seen below, I have my image searcher up and TVDB up showing that it does in fact have images. Season fetchers work, as well as the root of the series folder, just not specials.

This is when I began the thread.

During my setup of tagging various elements that I usually do (images that I use that aren't fetched) is when I noticed that Toy Story movies were not being added to collection. These are the only movies in my library that are showing up as actual movies instead of a collection. The Toy Story Collection itself IS in the collections view, but the movies are not in it. See screenshots.

I did not know if these two issues may have the same cause so I added it in.

I would check your emby library settings to make sure that tvdb images are enabled.

They are.

Check the image fetcher settings, maybe that particular image type is disabled.

Also check the languages of the posters on tvdb and compare that to your metadata download language setting.

All have primary ticked. And I know they are primary images because sometimes I want the second image instead of the first.

Also check the languages of the posters on tvdb and compare that to your metadata download language setting.

They are English, but they don't show up even if I select All Languages.

Check the tvdb id of your series in emby, perhaps it is not correct.

I cannot reproduce this unfortunately. There must be some combination of settings causing this. This is unfortunately what happens sometimes when we allow so much configuration.

I added the tv series to my tv library and got images on the first try.

Specials too?

See, no problem found:

I would suggest using server default metadata settings.

Added a Season 0 folder.

Well shit, I'll try blowing out the library db and if not I'll have to revo it. The only two plugins I ever install post-install are trakt and box sets so it's not any different from any other install.
