macbean 3 Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 As an example, the following file was dropped into its folder: 12 Monkeys - S04E10-E11 HDTV-720p.mkv Emby sees the files and shows that it has Episode 10 (only). 10. The Beginning (1) If i browse to the season and do "refresh metadata" it shows up as the multi episode file: 10-11. The Beginning (1), The Beginning (2) I modified my naming when I initially found i had this issue but its still doesn't work automatically. any suggestions?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 Had no issue adding the file as you have listed above. <dateadded>2018-07-07 04:34:05</dateadded> <title>The Beginning (1), The Beginning (2)</title>
Happy2Play 9783 Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 what specific naming convention do you use? The name you provided. 12 Monkeys - S04E10-E11 HDTV-720p.ext
macbean 3 Posted July 7, 2018 Author Posted July 7, 2018 what mechanism are you using to have emby discover new files? I'm currently set to real time monitoring.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 what mechanism are you using to have emby discover new files? I'm currently set to real time monitoring. Same Have you tried removing the episode perform a library scan, then re-adding it? Sounds like a issue with existing metadata.
macbean 3 Posted July 7, 2018 Author Posted July 7, 2018 When I first realized the issue, i tried reimporting it and it still came in as just the first episode. After a good bit of testing, the only thing that I found that worked was to do as I mentioned above. Let it import as the single episode, then refresh the metadata where it then picks up on the fact that it is a multiple episode file.
Luke 42081 Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 Perhaps you imported it with a pre existing nfo file? In which case the episode numbers in the nfo file would be used.
