Shield subtitle size

Is there a way i can change the size of the subs in shield ? 

 

since the last updates the subs are to big and when i change them in the ios app or windows app they show the right size, but for shield its not working, i cant get to the emby settings in the shield app to change it

Not at this time.  However, I don't think the size of them has changed recently.

 

Exactly how is the item playing and what kind of subs?

I was going to report this but I'm using the Mi Box, since Emby doesn't have an option to change subtitle sizes, then we must do it inside android settings, so I go there and switch the size to "very large":

 

 

The attached picture looks weird, but the subs are white with a black background.

 

When I play something with SRT subs for example, the size of the subs are still in "normal" size:

I should qualify that statement as this will only apply if we're talking about text-based subs being rendered by the app/player.

 

If subs are burning in on a transcode, then this setting will have no effect.

Yes, and I also suppose image based subs don't apply either, correct?

Probably not but I'm not positive.  Its possible the player does some scaling of those as well.
