aahmyu 9 Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 Hello, I'm trying to add some music videos to the library and i'm facing 2 problems. the first one the music video is not appearing in the artist page even when having the same artist. I only see the heading Music Videos and nothing under it. the second issue is identifying the music video is not working even when adding the imvdb id there are no search results at all.

For me, I thought my metadata was fine - but if I go to the Emby metadata editor for the music video - the artist name is blank - put that in and then save and then navigate to the artist under music and the video appears there...

That's what I had - the Music Videos section was there but empty - not until I added the name to the metadata did it then appear

PenkethBoy 2068 Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 (edited) @@Luke - Just spotted something that might explain the issue Using Anastacia as an example - you can see i have added metadata and filled in Artist and Album for this video what i noticed was that clicking on Anastatic (Artist) - works as it goes to her artist page BUT if you click on the "Pieces Of a Dream" the url generated by Emby is partly undefined /itemdetails.html?id=undefined&serverId=5fc81c140c6946c7b79f4f95f0594dc5 I have check this with several videos and different artists and its the same And i have checked the spelling of the album - its the same even down to the case of the letters - not that that should matter. If the "Album" metadata is "undefined" and does not have an ID - that might be why the Album page has no Music Videos displayed This is on the Stable Server - On BETA the Album name is not a clickable link - so essentially the same result Sorry forgot i did not have Anastacia music on my Beta server just the Music Videos Adding the Music to BETA made the Music Video Album link clickable (so its finding the music album via the metadata) but the url has "undefined" in it like Stable - so its the same result Edited July 6, 2018 by PenkethBoy

I and i assume others want my MusicVideos linked to the Albums and vice versa Checking the server data - the Album exists and emby will return the correct ID - you are just not putting into the url - SO ITS a BUG Edited July 8, 2018 by PenkethBoy 1

Luke 42080 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 Nothing is being removed, i'm only saying that it should only display a link if there is a linked AlbumId in the database. Otherwise it should just be plain text with the album name.

pir8radio 1312 Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 so.... Im seeing a IMVDB field being populated on most of my music videos, but nothing else, what is expected? My directory structure looks like: E:\Music\Music Video's\Music Video's #-G\Avril Lavigne\Avril Lavigne - Head Above Water.mp4 Emby has the library folder of "Music Videos #-G" mapped as the base folder. Am i supposed to see like, folder images or anything? I only see the screen captures on all of my videos, tried to rescan the library... I guess I just want to know what the expected behavior of music videos is?

I thought it would be nice to clean up the music videos much like the music.. Maybe a music video image instead of a frame grab of the music video. Some artist background images or something snazzy... :-) Right now it looks just like videos ive taken. Maybe this is some stuff you can grab from the music side? to make music videos look nicer.
