thunbrakuble1 2 Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 On my fire tv I am running the latest Kodi Nightly, using the emby con add-on and whenever I play a movie or tv show from my server remotely, the video works fine but there is no sound. Here is a log of me trying to play a video with no sound coming out. https://paste.kodi.tv/zoxekupufi I confirmed that the sound in Kodi works because on the same setup I can watch MLB streams through the MLB add-on. I also can hear the GUI sounds as I toggle through the screen. I also use the same version of Kodi and the embycon add-on on two separate Nvidia shield TVs, as well as a Samsung galaxy note 8. I am able to play full audio and video without any problems. Any help will be appreciate. Thank you!

We were running some tests, and it appears that this is only happening on the fire tv (we both have gen 1 fire tv's, although not sure if it would affect others, as we don't have that hardware to test). feerlessleadr 173 Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Thanks - looks like 17.6 works as it should (ie same file plays both video and sound). I'll have @thubrakuble1 downgrade his firetv box to 17.6.
