Nfo's saved in wrong location?

I noticed that since June 6th, all new movies added also have nfo files saved alongside the media files. Is emby saving them? My library settings are set for not saving the nfo's next to the media. And no nfo's were being saved next to the media prior to June 6th.

Radarr and plex are also accessing the media but I don't believe they save nfo's (radarr is set not to and plex does not use them).

Is this perhaps a new bug that was recently introduced?

Thanks

Hi, I would check the settings for each of your emby libraries. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

I checked the movie library settings and the setting for saving nfo's next to media is unchecked.

Also to confirm, I went to an older movie in emby gui and hit refresh metadata, sure enough, it saved an nfo next to the media.

This only started happening on June 6th and I didn't change any settings around or since then.

Attached is a screenshot of the movie library settings

Also to add, I'm using the official docker container and update as soon as a new version is released (within a day or two)

That checkbox is for artwork, not nfo files. Did you scroll down further to find the nfo checkbox?

I don't see any other setting for saving nfo's specifically. There is only one setting about the format metadata should be saved in, but not location

Ok, the "metadata savers" heading should be changed to "Local Metadata Savers". Try unchecking that check box.

Ok, will do. It seems this is a new setting.

I noticed that the same box is also checked in my tv shows library, but there are no nfo's saved. So there may be a separate issue there ;)
