xela19115 0 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Noob to MB here and need help. I see a black border all around the played content when I am playing back in MB3 Classic using whatever native player that comes with MB3. I am running MB3 Classic WMC plugin on the same PC as MB3 Server. I am seeing this problem on the HTPC and Extender (XBox 360) as well. I tried to use MB3 Theater and the same problem there. I do not see any borders when I am looking at the MB3 Classic content listings only the playback. This issue does not exist if I am playing the same movies in WMC under Movies. Thanks in advance for help.
Latchmor 584 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Hi, have a read through this post and check the part about Media Center settings (about halfway down) first before you try any registry/xml file changes. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/2123-media-browser-classic-is-not-displayed-on-100-of-the-screen-how-to-troubleshoot-overscan-issues/?hl=underscan Cheers
xela19115 0 Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 That's the rub. I've read that thread and I don't have issues with blue borders in the "browser" or listings. Listing are displayed correctly, edge to edge. Only when I play the content that I see a black border.
ebr 16169 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 The border is probably encoded in the content itself. What is it?
xela19115 0 Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 Any video content (TS, M2TS, MKV, MP4, AVI, WMV, etc.). If I try to play through WMC default player (in WMC under Movies) I see no border. In MB3 Classic I see the border.
ebr 16169 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Is the zoom setting in WMC set to something odd?
xela19115 0 Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 Is the zoom setting in WMC set to something odd? No. Whatever is the default.
ebr 16169 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 No. Whatever is the default. How do you know? I mean, if you don't know what it is set to... Hit the "info" button on your remote while one of these is playing and scroll over to Zoom. Which one is checked?

What player is MB3 using? Is it using its own or whatever the WMC is set to?
AdrianW 1058 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Could it be that he set the wrong TV type during the WMC setup process?
ebr 16169 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Could it be that he set the wrong TV type during the WMC setup process? That is also a possibility.
