Issues after update to Shield Experience 7

After upgrading to Shield Experience 7, I'm having issues viewing recorded TV.  Sometimes it plays a few seconds and Emby crashes.  I can get back in to Emby after a few minutes.  When trying to view the recording again, the colors are way off.  

 

I uploaded the logs from my Shield at 22:21 PM eastern time.  The logged in user was NVS.  

 

Attached is the server log.  I tried to play NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt at 22:16.  Emby crashed.  When I was able to get back in, I tried playing a few different episodes.  They played, but there was a green bar at the bottom of the screen and the colors were off.  

 

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

My Shield is running version 7.0.2.

In emby app setting/livetv, did you check "prefere mpv for livetv playback"?

 

If so, unselect this option. With this option selected, I see the same issue as you. But without this setting, everything is find with recordings.

I have problems with trailers/cinema mode after the update. It seems that it plays trailers in 3D even though my TV isn't 3d enabled, and mostly they just crash the entire app. 

 

I haven't had a chance yet to look at the logs. But I'll publish them if a reinstall doesn't fix it.

 

Does trailers work for everyone else?

After disabling MPV for Live TV and rebooting, things seem better. I had disabled it before as I was also having a problem with Live TV. Apparently the reboot made a difference. I will report back tomorrow if things remain stable.

I disabled the MPV option, but exoplayer just doesn't start anything from my IPTV source.

 

The source works fine in the native IPTV app on my Shield.

@@Devdroid Did you ever find a fix for this?  I'm having the same issue.

I'm on version 8.0.0 on Shield and have same issue with Cinema mode crashing the Emby app.

Also noticed it did work on the Fire TV box w/o issue, but only played the same 2 or 3 trailers all the time.

Seems odd as the blurb in its AD says they 1500+ trailers... don't think the 2 are related but just thought it might be helpful.
