10 sec forward/10 sec bacward "a-la youtube" feature request

Recently  youtube (and other video streaming apps) introduced a feature when double tap on the left or right side of app will do 10 seconds forward/backward rewinding.

 

I'd suggest to consider this for emby iOS client and all other OSes as well.

I +1 this idea. It has become a natural thing for me to double tap the edge of the screen to advance or rewind in a video. This could also have the same jump in time as the buttons next to the play/pause button.

Actually I see that on my client iPhone settings but it's not doing anything...

This is a per user option, select your user icon-playback.

Yes, I believe they all do. It would just be nice to be able to double tap the edges of the screen, instead of using these buttons on mobile devices.

Now I get it and it actually does work!

 

Still it'd be nice to add double tap option.

We have the double tap on Android. Haven't added to iOS yet.
