Movies losing navigation buttons when displaying with collections

I've been struggling with this one for a while but last night had a breakthrough in nailing down the problem, at least to a point.

 

The short version is that for the last couple of months (I can't pin down exactly what changed and when this started happening), when I access the movie library (which defaults to the All screen to show all the titles in the library) there are no forward / back buttons or number of movies in the library showing at the top or bottom of the library:

 

I can still navigate by the letters and if I manually set a filter such as to only show unplayed movies then it's fine:

 

Over the weekend I forced an update of all the metadata for the movie library (actually two NAS devices both with movie libraries which are then grouped to display as a single entity) and I've also been trying to tidy up my collections. All this through the web interface (which once I got the hang of it I'm really enjoying - thanks for that functionality!). I discovered that if I go to Manage server > Library > Display and untick "Group movies into collections", the library then displays fine with navigation arrows:

 

And when this is done the collections tab still shows the collections. But my preference has always been to have the one place to access which includes both standalone movies and collections and I imagine what's happening isn't an expected behaviour.

 

Doing a little more digging, I also discovered that when movies are set to display grouped into collections, the total number of posters displayed on the first movies page is 74. When I counted up how many movies were in the collections included on that page I got to 100 titles. So it appears that something is getting messed up with the display of collections. But I'm at a loss now as to what to change in order to fix it. Any ideas?

Hi, it's resolved for the next release, thanks.

 

Workaround for now is to go into user preferences and turn off the library grouping features.
