metabaron 0 Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 I just installed Emby on TS-231+ (I hope I used the right package - basically I went through all the packages until I found the one that didn't give me install error) I created a music library and added a few of my albums to the collection. However none of the tags were read. I tried refreshing the library many times and rechecked the tags with mp3tag - they seem ok. I've also rechecked what ffprobe returns: What am I missing here? I tried deleting library and re-creating it again. No help there. None of the tags were actually read, only the album title was guessed and the song titles have the track number in them. I am also having problem with playback I get the error: "No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details." I am not sure if this is all related and perhaps emby is not supported on TS-231+ Thank you for your help.
Luke 42077 Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 Hi, why do you feel that none of the tags were read? can you please discuss that? thanks !
metabaron 0 Posted June 21, 2018 Author Posted June 21, 2018 I look at the album.nfo: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?> <album> <review /> <outline /> <lockdata>false</lockdata> <dateadded>2018-06-20 18:53:29</dateadded> <title>H+</title> <runtime>0</runtime> <art> <poster>/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Multimedia/music2/JB Dunckel/H+/Cover.jpg</poster> </art> <track> <title>01 Hold On</title> </track> The title of songs contain the track number and there is no artist/album artist.
metabaron 0 Posted June 21, 2018 Author Posted June 21, 2018 I took a look at the logfile and it's filled with following messages: I have no idea what these mean, but I am going to try re-install the whole thing. I am not sure if I can even install on TS-231+
metabaron 0 Posted June 22, 2018 Author Posted June 22, 2018 I've re-installed the mono, emby and also installed ffmpeg. Now I am getting the metadata correctly read. And I can playback. Not sure why the ffmpeg is optional if nothing works if it's not installed. The artwork is being picked up for albums from the folders, however the artist artwork is not being downloaded from internet. Looking into this, but so far so good. It appears the playback is gapless (one of the reasons I switched from Plex)
Luke 42077 Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 Thanks for the feedback. ffmpeg is actually not optional. The issue is that for arm units it's a community built package and ffmpeg is not currently bundled within it. For x64 units, we're creating the package ourselves and ffmpeg is self-contained, with no mono dependency. In the future we hope to do the same for the arm package. thanks.
