cannot install emby server

hi there

 

I had to reset laptop and I cannot install Emby keep getting error 'application cannot be started,contact application vendor.'

Its never done this before.Any help be great

Hi.  Please Google "clear clickonce cache" and try that procedure and then try again.

Try running this from the command line:

rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache

am no computer savvy where do i run rhis I Dont know anything about this...can you guide me through it please

open a command prompt and copy/paste the command above into it, then press the enter key

okay command prompt as in the windows one,,,do I type all of that command or just the first few letters ,,sorry for being so bad

cannot seem to get it to work..looking at youtube vids but not having much luck...

this whole command:  

rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache

simply copy and paste it onto the same line in the command prompt you opened.

Hit the Windows key and type 'cmd', don't hit enter.  Right click on 'command prompt' and select 'run as administrator'.

Then paste in the command posted earlier.

See if that helps?
