thekingswolf 48 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 i've been searching the forum so I know opensubs has a limit to daily downloading, but my scheduled task doesn't seem to really do anything at all. I can edit subs for individual movies and find/download them just fine, but i was hoping to get Emby to automatically grab subs for all my movies daily (up to the open subs quota). I've manually run the task and it says completed immediately, and nothing is generated in the log file at all. no errors, no success, no data whatsoever is generated in the log file after running the task. is that normal? is this feature working?
Luke 42080 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Check to make sure you've enabled it for each of your libraries.
thekingswolf 48 Posted June 18, 2018 Author Posted June 18, 2018 hmm ok i'll double check that. i've also noticed the "perfect match" thing and i believe there is an option to only download subs that are a perfect match. How exactly is this determined? The naming convention of the file, or other details of the file like size matching?
Luke 42080 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Perfect match is by the byte content of the files.
thekingswolf 48 Posted June 18, 2018 Author Posted June 18, 2018 ok makes sense thanks. Also I got it working. Turns out it was in the area you suggested, i just had to turn on advanced settings for the library in question. It wasn't disabled and English was chosen but it was this feature that was holding things back. thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Nem 2 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Im having a similar problem where for some reason the skip options were turned on (I dont remember explicitly turning any of those on). I have now turned those options off (perfect match, and default audio track), but when I manually run the subtitle scheduled tasks it still doesnt download anything I had a bunch of videos imported while those options were still turned on, so does changing these options only apply to future files, and not anything thats currently in my library?
Luke 42080 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Same questions as above. Check to make sure it is enabled for each library. Check the perfect match requirement to see that it suits your preference. Then use the manual downloading option to see what is actually available from the subtitle providers.
