mrmarkfr 8 Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Hi, I'm setting up Emby for my parents (non-techy) to view my media, on an Atom powered box. I'm I better to set them up with Emby Theatre, or bookmark the webpage of my server?
Luke 42083 Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 If they are going to use a mouse, the built-in web app will be fine. If they are going to use a remote control and sit back from the couch, then Emby Theater would be better.

mrmarkfr 8 Posted June 16, 2018 Author Posted June 16, 2018 Nvidia Ion, the box is an Acer Revo R3700, 2Gb, and an SSD. If it isn't strong enough for what we're doing, we'll be upgrading to an i3 Nuc style
Guest asrequested Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Ok, the hardware acceleration should work well enough, if you use Theater. As Luke was saying, what is their general usage? I imagine sitting on the couch with a remote?
