Is there a "New Content" message in Emby?

Is there a way to notify all of the devices if there is new content?  For example, new TV shows recorded, movies added, or PDF's uploaded to the NAS my server is running off of?

 

I especially would like there to be messages if a new (or updated) PDF is uploaded, as well as the date and time.

You can use a notifications plugin to message users about new content.

Yea there isn't exactly a message, but the server does notify the apps silently so that they can refresh their content.
