sornis 0 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 i'm trying to test this nice software. in my opinion getting to be top 3 media servers software. server and clients besides my smart TV UE40F6320 work like a charm but I cant seem to pass the connection to 82.45.82.57 on app sync and I get: ERROR_DEVELOPMENT 0002 i wonder if the problem/limitation is my TV or even if there is another way to install the app?

chessdragon136 677 Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) I am about just no-where near as much as before (since i now have a job) Development has stalled a touch i must admit but its got to a good place for it to stall - Testing the existing code with larger numbers is probably the best thing that can happen at the moment before the next large element is implemented (music) As for the development issue, I have a suspicion that it is to do with the DNS setup on the TV's.. As such when you configure your internet connections on your tv can you manually set them up and use some public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) This may help with the issue. There will be some minor updates in the coming weeks, and aim to get one out this weekend when i have 2 more minor problems resolved.. No new functionality will be in them per say, maybe minor graphical changes but mostly back end stability and transcoding profile alterations. Thanks - Any potential developers are welcome to contact me by PM. Code is still closed as part of a licence for an element of code which I use and until i have it re-designed that element I cannot make the code open source. BigRich 0 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I doubt this is a DNS problem as there is no name to convert; the ip addy is numeric. I agree it's possible the hosting ISP has changed the public ip numeric addy if this is a dynamic ip addy.

Get the following "The following new service will be installed automactically. (1/1) MediaBrowser3. However it does not install and just sits there. The previous IP worked fine.

I did some additional testing with other developer sites. These sites are working so I believe there is an issue in your web server setup of ip mismatch. Please let me know I f there is anything I can test for you.

Ka Hooli 1 Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I'm trying to install this on my HT-E6750W Home Theater system. Within the SmartHub, the first instructions in the OP were correct for logging in, but found the other options in slightly different places. There is no Blue Button option. Instead, I pressed Tools on the remote, went to Settings, Developers, ticked Accept (left arrow, enter, right arrow, enter), and then the options (Settings Server IP and User Application Syncronisation) appeared. It appears to have downloaded the app (scrollbar filled from left to right), but it just sits there and goes no further. I very quickly skimmed through the posts this thread, so I hope I didn't miss other people having the same issue as the installation appearing to hang. I've left it about 5 minutes now, should I wait longer? Any ideas? EDIT: If it would help, I could take some photo's of the screens. EDIT2: I've uploaded the photo's in order here with captions: https://plus.google.com/photos/111148102794634514743/albums/5998308342098479153 EDIT3: I've ended up powering off and on the Home Theater unit after it stayed on the last screen (see photos via link above) for over an hour. I'm still having the same issue with the latest versions on my HT-E6750W home theatre system. Oh well, one day maybe... Keep up the good work regardless

Updated to V4.21. Actually appears to be more snappier moving between folders etc. The model of my TV is UA40ES6200MXXY. Thank you.

Cool, now heres a trickier question, do you know if there is a way when 3d is supported to play it in 2d only? (If say I don't have enough glasses for everyone) unclicking 3d on plex just plays half side by side
