pappaq 8 Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Hello there, I've got the following issue. For 2 of 10 users the transcoding of all tested movies work, but for the other 8 some movies doesn't. The server transcodes via software, so no hardware transcoding and for the two working users it runs like a charm. The problem accures in the intranet and over the https connection. Logs are attached. Any ideas? cheers

pappaq 8 Posted June 9, 2018 Author Posted June 9, 2018 I've tried it with every user on emby theater. Doesn't work means, that some movies, are not getting transcoded on 8 of the 10 users. But the remaining two work well with all movies.

pappaq 8 Posted June 9, 2018 Author Posted June 9, 2018 Ok. When I log in with one of the working users, the playback with transcoding works for every movie. But that only works with 2 of 10 users. When I log in with one of the 8 other users, the exact same movie won't play, if it needs transcoding. The spinning circle just does its thing and nothing happens. With the working users, the transcode starts in a matter of one second and the playback begins.

pappaq 8 Posted June 10, 2018 Author Posted June 10, 2018 Can you try a different video? I have an some work and some don't, as I mentioned above. Do you need the logs of another attempt with a different movie?

But that was my first thought trying to solve it. I wondered if it had anything to do with permissions in windows and changed it but the problem persists.
pappaq 8 Posted June 11, 2018 Author Posted June 11, 2018 I've found the failure. The subtitle option was set to standard in the 8 not working profiles. I've set it to "no subtitles" now and it works like a charm. Thank you guys anyways. cheers
