Emby Server Install Questions

I just installed Emby Server on my windows 7 machine, but I am having a couple problems.

 

1. Emby server does not start when I restart the computer

2. I cannot start it manually because there is no shortcut anywhere that I can see.

3. I have to rerun the setup to get it to start and this is really annoying.

4. I have gone into the settings and clicked the "Run server at startup" but that does not do anything.

 

What should I do next?

If you want Emby to run as a Server here is the Wiki.

 

If you want a shortcut, the exe is in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\embyserver.exe

 

Not sure why Emby isn't putting a shortcut in your startup folder without the server log.  But you can manually put one there if you want Emby to start at Windows login.

There should be a shortcut in your startup menu.

 

Are you by any chance logging into windows with a different windows user that installed it?

Yes I am logged in as a different user. I didn't know that would matter. None of my other programs seem to mind the difference.

We install in a per user location in order to ensure that automatic updates will work.
