Hi,

i have added several movies in User_1's favorites.

Is it possible to copy User_1's favorites to User_2's favorites?

Thanks

Hi, our backup plugin could help with this. Other than that we don't really have an easy way of doing this. Thanks.

Hi,

Yes.  Just so you realize, the plug-in is not designed to do specifically what you are trying to do but you may be able to accomplish it, depending on what you really need.  If you copy the user data from one user to another (by restoring a backup into a different user) then ALL that data will come over which means watched and in-progress status as well as favorites.

Hi,

i have 2 user:

user_1 that is the administrator of the server. He can add/remove movies and put it in the favorites.

user_2 that is the user that all the devices use to show the movies.

I would like that the user_2 has the same favorites of the user_1.

Thanks

I understand and that isn't directly possible right now.  Luke suggested maybe using the backup plugin to copy them but that is also going to wipe out any playback history so I doubt it is what you want.  Also, it would be a manual process.

Why doesn't the viewing user just add their favorites?  That is per-user data because different users will have different favorites.

Because when i add movies to the nas i use the admin user on my pc.

Subsequently I should disconnect the admin user and connect with viewing user to add the movies to the favorites.

If there are no other solutions I will do it this way.

Thanks

Hi.  The user logged in to your PC (for rights of adding media) can be different than the user connected to Emby from any given app...

yes, i use this function.

The admin user is my user that i use to add/remove movies into the library.

The viewing user is the user that my family use to see a movie (so they can not delete movies by mistake)
