Recording Oddities, Not Recording Series

Last year we set up the system to record World of Dance and So You Think You Can Dance.  It worked great for last season.

My daughter has set up several series recordings the past month as well.

First off, where the hell is the TV schedule?!?!?  In 'Live TV' the 'Schedule' is now just recording schedule, not the actual TV schedule...

Secondly, when I go to 'Series' I see my daughters series and they have "Anytime" and "NICKeHD" for instance.  But my two just have "Anytime" and "One Channel" (or All Channels).

The first episode of both World of Dance and So You Tink You Can Dance were missed, and my wife is     PISSED    !!!!

I also do not understand why I can't see a list of recorded episodes when I go to 'Series' and click on the series, or why there isn't a 'Series' option or something to make it easier to navigate to from Live TV.  I shouldn't need to go to Recordings.

Lastly, in my Recordings section, I have duplicate listings.  Most (but not all) of the series are listed twice in the Recordings area.

From my experience the “one channel” ones are broken and need recreating. This usually happens to me when I make a change to the m3u and emby is not able to maintain schedules in these circumstances

I think you're looking for the guide. Are you not able to locate that?

This is probably because we are now saving the series folders with the series year at the end.

You can do a one-time manual fix by locating the actual series folders in your library and manually merging them.

It works just fine, but if the channel data changes significantly enough such that the original channel can't be located anymore, then that would explain this.

Correct, the guide seems to have disappeared.  Makes it difficult to recreate the recordings without it.

Are you referring to Emby Theater?

Yes, Emby Theater 3.0.1 on Windows 10

It sounds like you may have removed live TV from your home screen. If you add it back there will be a button to get to the guide.

Ok, so here is my Home Screen, and you can see the Live TV

UNDER the Libraries I have a Guide button, and that works, and I just recreated the two recordings from there...

However, if you go into the Live TV section on Emby Theater, there is no Guide option across the top menu.

In the WEB version (accessed via IP) you can see the Guide option in the top menu

Correct, it's not  embedded into the section, and we will be changing that. But in the meantime you can still get to the guide from your home screen. thanks.

its your opinion that it works just fine. The fact is the scheduled series recordings have been broken by something and need fixing by the user. I am still of the opinion that this could be done better and therefore it’s not fine

We're happy to help. Please go over an example and attach the information requested in how to report a problem. thanks !

its already been discussed Luke, what you think is reasonable any iptv user I have discussed this with does not. You said at the beginning of the year you would be improving channel management “in the near future” and you’ve done nothing. Us experienced users have learned to accept we just have to wait for when the whim catches you..... we’ll still be discussing the same in a years time because you (emby) are extremely poor at tracking these issues
