Library issues

Hi all,

 

I upgraded to 3.4.1 and now realtime folder monitoring won't stay enabled. Also getting this error when manual scan. Apart from the library not updating no issues.

I also noticed /var/lib/emby-server is now /var/lib/emby

It looks like you may have switched from our legacy install package to our new install package. This unfortunately is not currently supported.

 

You might be able to correct this by symlinking the old data path to the new one.

No Worries I'll roll back to 3.3, good job I run ZFS for my containers.

 

When will I know I can go to 3.4 without problems?

Since you're on the legacy install package, you can do a manual update by reading the instructions in posts #3 and #4 here:

That could take some time due to differences between the two. Currently the only way to move to the new install package is a completely fresh installation.

EDIT: I've done that method of updating it for now.

Right now there are some compatibility problems with the older installations that is making this difficult, so it could be a little while. We may also just to have users on the legacy package update manually. It really just depends on a number of factors. Thanks.

Any news on how to update to the new folder path? 

 

 

Currently have the following to folders symlinked, which allows the old and new paths to work.

What do you mean update? Are you having a problem?

Since Emby is now on version 4, was there any update mechanisms to change old library paths from /var/lib/emby-server to /var/lib/emby. Currently I have them symlinked to fix issues with database referencing old path.

No, I would just continue with the symlinks for now.
