Set tags disappear again

Hello Com, hello Team Emby,

 

i have found some stranger things.

 

I have tag'd some Seasons with "NoDMS" so they ignored for autocreate timer in dvbviewer plugin. When i look again, after some time, the tag is gone, the field is empty and no tag is in there.

 

Did you know something about that ?

In every single season. I have tried it for some different series. Its always the same, maybe he had problems with "NoDMS" as an tag, or can i write down what i want ?

 

I have tag'd some seasons from different series, because prevent dvbviewer plugin to search for episodes to record i dont want. So i see it for example after a week when the next epsiode is coming that he record it, then i look at the metadata settings and see, there is no NoDMS tag anymore.

I would try to "lock" the tags. Just remove the checkmark for tags in the metadata editor for those seasons.

Is this for now a workaround, or is that the solid way, Tag the Season with NoDMS and disable the option that emby can change the Tag field ?

Yes, either lock it in the metadata manager or in the metadata editor via the three dots context menu. It should survive every metadata refresh.

So i'm back with a problem with tags. I have set my tag and then i go to lock it. But after some days the server has unlocked my tags and delet my entrys in the tags. A set my tag and lock it again, on the next day or so he was unlocked again.

Can you try to catch it when it happens? Maybe some other program besides Emby is modifying your nfo file? That's where the lock is stored.

I i think this would be very hard. I have set it now, so i will look tomorrow and when he unlocked it, i attach the log file, this is what i can do. Emby is my only Program that managed my all my stuff. I use DVBViewer for the recordings thats it, but i dont think that dms is change something in the nfo. 

 

For playing i use kodi with emby addon. So i dont know how should change something in the nfo file.

Are you sure Kodi isn't modifying them?  Doesn't it have the option to store watched status in them?

Yea we've seen this before many times if you want to search the forum. Users swear no other program is modifying their nfo files. Then after enough investigation, they find that something was actually doing that.

Hm i don't know, i know there was a setting, but i have nothing set on kodi, there was no path set for media files, all is coming from the emby addon.

 

Kodi runs completely over the emby for kodi addon.

 

The next thing is, that actual i dont watch this series. So what should change this tags ?

 

And was happend, when another tool change things in the nfo ? Why the tags are cleared and unloocked ?

Hm on the server site, there are only Emby and DMS for handling media. DMS is only the Recording Program and for LiveTV, there are no options for nfo. He only record episodes and safe it on a path where AutoOrganize watch.

 

On the Client Site i have only Kodi. But in kodi there are no path setup. I use only Emby for Kodi Addon. The only thing maybe in the past, i have set somewhere at a addon that he can change the watch count and stat, but for now i thing this is all the work from the emby addon, how can do this. I use no other Addons for change the nfo.

If real-time monitoring works in your environment and you have it enabled we might see it in our log but not 100%.

Sorry guys you are to fast, i have change some thins in my last post.

 

But when another tool is change things in the nfo, for example watch count and stat. Why the Tags Tab will be reset and was unlocked ? Can Emby not hold it locked, when i say this ?

The only time Kodi will see files is if you have the sources defined in Kodi with paths to your content. If that is not the case, then it's not Kodi and certainly not the add-on modifying nfos.

No all my content is managed over your addon (Emby for Kodi) In Kodi there are no path set to the servers media content.

There is set a path to my server but only for backup and other stuff, at this path there are no media content, like movies or series.

 

Ant when i actual not watch the Series, he should not change things in the nfo when another tool inside kodi can do this ?

 

EDIT::

I have trakt running on the Emby server ? Can he change things in nfo ? But then Emby did it and should not change the Tags Tab because its locked.

As long as Kodi can't see your content that has locked nfos (via sources), then everything should be alright. Sounds like it's setup correctly to me.

So when it happens i post the log. I will look everyday at the exmaple series and when there are some changes i will tell you.

 

I think kodi did not change things in the nfo. Another Program is not there for doing this. On the Server Site Emyb and DMS (DvbViewer)

 

This has been going on for a long time. I only see it when he (DMS Recording Service) records episodes that are already there for my knowledge. Then I look and realize that the tags have been deleted and are unlocked.

Yes but the timer is set through the DVBViewer Plugin from @@pünktchen. So when i will not have a season i go to it and set under Tags "NoDMS" save it an lock the tags Tab. So normaly they should not create timers for this seasons. But sometimes he create timers of episodes for this locked seasons.

 

I dont know. Maybe pünktchen can tell something.

My plugin only read tags from the database, but don't write them.
