Emby Server : Version 3.4.1.0

OS: UnRAID 6.5.2

Deployment: Docker https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Build/tree/master/unraid-templates/Emby

Client: Android 2.9.92

SSL Certificate: YES, via sslforfree.com

Firewall: port 8920 open and forwarded.

Today I tried to setup Emby for remote access. I have had no success.

I can log into the server remotely but when I come to select a video to play I get the following error:

"Playback Error No compatible streams are currently available"

I can log in and play video on the LAN just fine but just not when I engage a remote connection.

The log snippet indicates this error:

    InnerException: Interop+OpenSsl+SslException
    Interop+OpenSsl+SslException: SSL Handshake failed with OpenSSL error - SSL_ERROR_SSL. ---> Interop+Crypto+OpenSslCryptographicException: error:14094416:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert certificate unknown

I have interrogated the forums and tried the fix around changing the Secure Connection Mode. I have tried them all, it does not help.

Can anyone suggest how I might fix this?

Thanks

Dan

It is a Samsung Galaxy S9. Latest updates applied.

Is there anything I can do to help debug the issue - assuming it is one of course and not just something I have or haven't done?

Ok, I would suggest trying again with the next release of the app. The workaround in the meantime is playing over http. Thanks.

Damn, then it is a bug. I think I'll wait. I'd prefer VPN or an https via an independent reverse proxy solution before http and that takes time. So, next app version sounds better. When is the next version of the Android app with a fix due for release?

Hopefully we'll have it on the beta channel soon. Thanks.

Thanks, Luke. I have just installed the EmbyServer docker version that is on the beta channel so I can test.

It's currently on Version 3.4.1.1 beta. Which version will include the fix, 3.4.1.2?

I mean the beta channel of the Android app in the play store. Thanks.

Hi Luke. It's been a while and the Android App Beta Channel is still on March version.

Any update on when the fix for this issue is going to be rolled out?

Just to close the loop on this, confirm as of today this issue is fixed.
