How to run Emby on Windows without MCE

Greetings,

I've been using Emby with my MCE setup for a while now to watch movies and I would like to drop the Microsoft MCE piece altogether. Can anyone explain (or point to a wiki, doc or url) about how this can be done? I'd still like to use Windows for my platform. My PC is pretty current, i7, 32gb ram, and 6tb on a raid50 array. I'm using an Ceton Infinitv4 PCIe card to pull in a TV signal and I have a Comcast account that includes Showtime. I'd love to roll out of the old MCE solution to something new and actively developed like Emby. Right now I am running Windows 7 MCE and I know that it is getting really dated. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer. Let me know what details I missed here and I'll reply back.

That's what I do - my windows 10 htpc holds both the server software and theatre...

What about the 'Live TV Plugins'? Has anyone had success with the Ceton Infinitv4 PCIe card? If that's a 'yes', I think I'll set this up!

Sorry - can't help on that score - I waited until native support for Huappage cards was released then I was able to use my Huappage tuner without a plugin - does work really well!
