mjos 0 Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 (edited) Hi, I have a bunch of NEF (Nikon RAW format) photos and just installed Emby 3.4.1 on my server. I found a line in release notes of version 3.2.33 stating "Support nef image format". However my folders with photos with .NEF extensions show no photos in webapp library. Listing of the dir looks like this: -rw-rw-r-- 1 emby emby 10930223 Aug 24 2016 DSC_2643.NEF-rw-rw-r-- 1 emby emby 1639 Aug 31 2016 DSC_2643.NEF.xmp So the question is, how is NEF format supported? Thanks a lot. Michal Edited May 30, 2018 by mjos
Luke 42085 Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Hi, we ran into some problems and had to disable it for now. I'll give it a re-test and see if that can be changed. Thanks.
Jon Shearer 0 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Has the .NEF issue been resolved? I prefer RAW (.NEF) format for my photography. Wont be getting a Emby Premire subscription until I can view .NEF files. Thanks, jon
Luke 42085 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Hi, what platform are you running emby server on?
Jon Shearer 0 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Hi, what platform are you running emby server on? iMac, macOS 10.14.5
Jon Shearer 0 Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 iMac, macOS 10.14.5 BTW, I'm attempting to view my images on a RokuTV, TCL 55R617
Luke 42085 Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 Actually it looks like nef support has been disabled in recent releases. I will re-enable it. Thanks.
ebr 16195 Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 BTW, I'm attempting to view my images on a RokuTV, TCL 55R617 The roku is only going to give you a maximum of 1080p resolution to view them so they will be converted and downsized for display...
Jon Shearer 0 Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 When will NEF be enabled? How will I know it's enabled?
Luke 42085 Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 It will be in the next emby server release. You will just need to run a library scan to start picking up nef images.
