moneycwq 2 Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, I purchased a lifetime license and found that only one user can be recorded in the video playback time. How can I allow each user on the emby server to record the video independently? And I am very confused, I emby server is built on dell t630 server, using esxi virtual a windows 2016server, I would like to know how I set the hardware acceleration in transcoding options? My English is not very good. I can only translate it through translation software. I hope I won't be confused about you.

Luke 42080 Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Hi there, can you please explain what you mean by this? only one user can be recorded in the video playback time Each user in Emby can have their own progress and resume data. Thanks !
moneycwq 2 Posted May 27, 2018 Author Posted May 27, 2018 Hi there, can you please explain what you mean by this? Each user in Emby can have their own progress and resume data. Thanks ! I only have one user to have my own progress and recovery data. First of all, is the user registered on the emby website or the emby server user? I currently see only one user can choose to have their own progress and recovery data? So this made me very upset. I now run emby server on a computer and then set up 5 user names for my family in this server. Only one user name can have my own progress and recovery data.
moneycwq 2 Posted May 27, 2018 Author Posted May 27, 2018 Hi there, can you please explain what you mean by this? Each user in Emby can have their own progress and resume data. Thanks ! In the media library nfo settings, for the following users to retain historical viewing data, choose to or not, if not a single user, do not know whether you can retain historical viewing data for each user?
ebr 16185 Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Hi. That feature to save watched status in the nfo is only for compatibility with other programs that may want to read it (Kodi). Emby saves this information for every user internally. Does that answer your question?

Emby saves this information for every user internally. Does that answer your question? hi,I am confused because I now have 5 users on a server, but it seems that the nfo setting in the media library can only choose to record one user. At present, I have only 5 users, only one user can record the media history that is played. Other users do not record the recorded media time and name and other historical records. Why is this? Is there still a problem set there?
Luke 42080 Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 All of can and do record their history. They go into the database file called library.db which is underneath Emby Server's installation folder. Does this answer your question?

They go into the database file called library.db which is underneath Emby Server's installation folder. Does this answer your question? Not to answer it, I still can't record the media information that each user has seen. It's weird. This database exists, about 150m in size. I don't understand technology and I don't know how to change it. At least I now have only one user can check the media information that has been played, including the media time that has been played. Resume playback options can appear. If other users interrupt the media, they must start playing each time. This makes me very inconvenient. Can you tell me how to solve my problem? Thank you
Luke 42080 Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Why do you feel it can't record the media information that each user has seen? Can you please explain that? Thanks.
moneycwq 2 Posted May 28, 2018 Author Posted May 28, 2018 Why do you feel it can't record the media information that each user has seen? Can you please explain that? Thanks. Example: I have 5 users, a, b, c, d, e, where user b has played 5 movies or television programs, each of which has not finished playing. Close the player to exit. The next time you log in, you can see these 5 movies or TV shows in the Continue to watch movies section, and there is a progress bar under each movie. After clicking on any movie, there is a Resume Play and Play button. If I click to resume playing, then the movie or TV show will continue to play from where it was last closed. However, other users of a, c, d, and e will not be able to do this. No matter what they play, they will not be updated when they continue to watch movies. There is no progress bar under the movie. When they click in, they only play. Even if you last watch, you can't cong。 I can't find any settings that allow each user to have his own progress saved. In the server console-media library-nfo settings, the option to save viewing history data for the following users seems to select only one user. Once a user is selected, the user has his own play history progress saved, while other users There is no such function. I think that every user that should be set up by the server has this feature, which is a very needed function. Therefore, I hope to be able to tell how to set up so that each user can have record keeping viewing history data? Thank you
moneycwq 2 Posted May 28, 2018 Author Posted May 28, 2018 Hi. What app are you using for playback? This is true whether you use the emby program that comes with an Android app or Windows 10 store -emby theater , or chrome playback. By the way, my emby server is installed on windows server2016
Luke 42080 Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Can we please look at a specific example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks !
moneycwq 2 Posted May 29, 2018 Author Posted May 29, 2018 我们可以看一个具体的例子吗?请附上如何报告媒体播放问题所需的信息。谢谢 ! I uploaded screenshots of the server log and play records under different user names and screenshots of the emby version number. Ver.jpg is the emby version number. Yy.jpg is an abnormal user name. The screenshot shows only what movie was played in the play record, but there is no record of the progress of the corresponding movie. The z.jpg is normal, and the screenshot shows the progress of the corresponding movie. Set.jpg is the screenshot of the nfo settings section. It seems that this section can only set a user name to record historical data. Log.txt
moneycwq 2 Posted June 2, 2018 Author Posted June 2, 2018 Can we please look at a specific example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks ! 我已经上传了截图和日志,请问什么时候可以给我回复?I have uploaded screenshots and logs. When can I reply?
Luke 42080 Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Can you please login as one of these abnormal videos. Then start playing a video. After a few seconds, fast forward to the middle. After a few more seconds, stop the video. Then please attach the emby server log. You can learn how to do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks.
