hasown 3 Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 I have my Futurama collection renumbered to match the DVD order, and I reimported it into Emby and set Emby to use DVD order. I also have TheMovieDB set as the preferred artwork for episodes since they have higher quality artwork than TVDB. Emby is importing the artwork for the wrong episodes. Example: "Reincarnation" is S06E13 according to DVD order. When Emby imports TheMovieDB artwork, it uses the artwork for "The Futurama Holiday Spectacular", which is S06E13 according to the broadcast order.
Luke 42083 Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Hi, I'm afraid this isn't going to be supported right now. You will need to select tvdb as your highest priority provider if you are customizing the display order for any of your series.
Luke 42083 Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Either that or you can just manually fix up this one series.
hasown 3 Posted May 27, 2018 Author Posted May 27, 2018 (edited) I have created a separate library for DVD order TV series and will use that to fix relevant series. I was already using TVDB as the preferred provider for episode metadata, but I thought the broadcast order could still be referenced so TheMovieDB could be set as the preferred provider for episode images. Can a bug/request be created to store the broadcast episode number along with the DVD number? It seems like that would solve this problem and the bug in the Trakt plugin in this thread. Luke 42083 Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 You can track this issue here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/issues/3309 Thanks.
hasown 3 Posted January 25, 2020 Author Posted January 25, 2020 This is still a bug in Emby Server 4.3.1.0 and Trakt plugin 3.4.2.0. Reproduction: 1. Firefly TV series is added as a DVD order season in Emby. Season metadata is set to use TVDB. 2. In Emby, edit images for DVD episode 1x4: Shindig. 3. TVDB images are from the correct episode. TheMovieDb images are from broadcast episode 1x4: Jaynestown.

As shifting order does not change initial image. Ah yes that’s an interesting question if we should replace images or not when that is charged.
