External sources, app store policies, direct streaming reasons

I understand there has been changes to how some media items are direct played or direct streamed due to avoid violating app store policies. I have no issue with this at all as I would hate to see apps being removed from app stores due to external links.

 

I do think it would be helpful to include this as a playback method reason though. If a item needs to be direct streamed because it is from an unverifiable external source it would be extremely nice to have that as reported reason in the server dashboard. Right now I believe it just shows up as "unsupported container" which isn't really the case and is confusing for those trying to troubleshoot.

Yes that's a good point. We have 20 or so reason codes that apps can use and when the reasoning doesn't fit one of those you just end up with something generic.
