Multipart movies with named segments

Is there a way to retain the names of segments of multipart films in the file names?

 

Say, for examples, I would have a documentary on the Bible with segments about each book that were in separate files, Would it be possible to have something like

 

Bible Doc-part01-Genesis.mkv

Bible Doc-part02-Exodus.mkv

Bible Doc-part03-Leviticus,mkv

 

Failing that, would there be a way to have them appear as a Collection but not as a whole lot of little items in my Movies library display?

Hi, no there isn't, but if these are episodic, then wouldn't a TV library be best?

 

You can disable internet metadata features on that library to avoid incorrect matching. If you don't want the season/series style displays then I would suggest keeping things as they are and having the files be separate videos.

@@Luke, I tried that with Gone with the Wind, putting it in TV library and Emby does not populate the metadata and photos.

 

I did try this a couple stable releases ago.

Thanks for the info. You might have gotten lucky if the tvdb lookup didn't return anything. I would still generally advise turning it off to prevent any chance of it happening.
