When HEVC(H265) video is cast to a google chromecast 2 it fails to play. This is because the emby server does not transcode the HEVC(H265) video. The chromecast 1 & 2 support VP8 and H264, while the chromecast ultra supports VP8, VP9, H264, and HEVC(H265).

Can you try turning off nvenc?

With NVENC disabled it does work. HEVC transcoding works when even with NVENC enabled in other clients.

Thanks for the feedback. I think there's something about this particular video that nvenc is having a problem with.
