zmediaserver 5 Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 (edited) Hello, Time Lord TV plugin updated yesterday (5/20/18) and since then the plugin has ceased to work for me. I get a "task failed" error every time now. logs attached. Emby Server: 3.3.0.0 OS: FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p9 EmbyServerLog.txt Edited May 21, 2018 by zmediaserver
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 This would be do to you being on a old server version. Plugins get updated to be compatible with current version updates. current Emby server 3.4.1.0
Luke 42077 Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Right but the plugin update might be targeting a server version that is too low
zmediaserver 5 Posted May 21, 2018 Author Posted May 21, 2018 Latest version available for FreeBSD is 3.3.1.0_1 and I've read about some bugs, which is why I haven't upgraded yet.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Best guess would be you have to roll back to plugin version 18.02.19.0932 (Release). Catalog-TimelordTV-version to install But the issue will be scheduled task plugin update will keep pulling newer version unless task is disabled. @@BeppoMonkeyBoy
zmediaserver 5 Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 Ok, can you give me some guidance on how to roll back the plugin and downgrade, then exclude it from future updates? Are there any other solutions?
zmediaserver 5 Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 NM, I see it now. Let me know if there are any other solutions, since this will require that I stop updating all plugins automatically, or manually roll back this plugin each time an update occurs.

Technically deleting the plugin update task trigger won't make a difference as all plugin updates are not compatible with the server you are running.

Oh, ok. That's good to know. Thank you for clarifying. So I understand correctly, the latest version of Emby Server for FreeBSD is 3.3.1.0_1. Are updated plugins compatible with this version? There seems to be quite a delay between when Emby Server for FreeBSD updates are rolled out vs all other platforms. Is the turn-around time for FreeBSD updates something you expect to improve in the near future? Perhaps I should consider migrating to a different platform to avoid these issues moving forward? Thanks again for the support - I'm a huge fan of the platform and really appreciate the hard work! Edited May 23, 2018 by zmediaserver
Luke 42077 Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 Updates for freebsd do run a little behind but we hope to improve on that over the next couple months.
BeppoMonkeyBoy 98 Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 I've changed the required version of the server, so this should no longer be happeing.
zmediaserver 5 Posted May 23, 2018 Author Posted May 23, 2018 Noted. Thanks again - you guys are awesome!
