Haxy 11 Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 When item is added to library and after that I download missing subtitles via web interface, I have to manually refresh item in Kodi to have possibility to choose downloaded subtitles. Is is possible to trigger automatically refreshing in Emby for Kodi when new subtitles file appears the same when new movie/tv file appears?

Is the subtitle downloaded via a server plugin? Also, is playback already happening when you download the subtitles? If there's a server event triggered the add-on should update the title accordingly. Maybe you are looking before the update has happened?
Haxy 11 Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 Can you explain your process? Is the subtitle downloaded via a server plugin? Also, is playback already happening when you download the subtitles? If there's a server event triggered the add-on should update the title accordingly. Maybe you are looking before the update has happened? I will try to explain the problem in more details. It is more complicated than I thought but I can reproduce it twice. 1. Open movie details in emby web dashboard. There are no subtitles for it 2. Download subtitles manually via emby web dashboard 3. Open movie in kodi, start watching. Subtitles are 1/10. Want to delete them and wait for better one 4. Go to movie folder in explorer, delete subtitles file 5. Need to manually refresh movie item in emby web dashboard because emby still see deleted subtitles file (this is stupid) 6. Kodi also still see deleted subtitles for this movie, but nevermind I want to wait for better translation 7. New translation appears 8. Go to emby web dashboard 9. Delete subtitles for movie again 10. Go to Kodi 11. Start playing movie, kodi sees subtitles (I think it still sees old subtitles file) but subtitles are not displayed (because old subtitles file was deleted) 12. In Emby for kodi choose: refresh this item 13. Kodi playing and displaying correct subtitles So I think there is a problem with updating files in movie folder and reflecting changes in Emby for kodi. I have companion plugin for Kodi in Emby installed.
