Haxy 11 Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 How to set Kodi and plugin Emby for Kodi to not showing subtitles if selected audio track is in the same language?

Angelblue05 4132 Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 It's not currently possible to achieve what you want. But Kodi is smart, it should remember your choice/per video. If you disable subs, next time you play the same title, the subs should be disabled. You could change the default behavior too, when playing a title, access the video/audio settings in the player osd, disable/enable subtitles (the general setting, not choose a subtitles), then scroll at the bottom in the same window and select set as default for all videos.
Haxy 11 Posted May 20, 2018 Author Posted May 20, 2018 I dont want to disable subtitles for all movies. I want to not show subtitles when audio track is in the same language. Kodi is not smart enough. After resume the same file, subtitles are still enable by deafult and I cant find any options to set this properly. In Emby Web player there is an option called Smart subtitles: „Subtitles matching language preferences will be loaded when the audio is in a foregn language” this is the great option and should be in Emby for Kodi
Angelblue05 4132 Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 I can't say that I experience this. It does remember when I enable or disable subtitles in my case. But I understand what you want. It's not supported at this time. The way Kodi and Emby handle subs is different and I've tried supporting such feature in the past. but It wasn't stable enough. When I get some time, I'll see what I can do to try and support that server feature in the add-on. 1
