K22R8CT 25 Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 In previous versions deleting an item from a Sync job would delete it from disk: In 3.4.1.0 it doesn't. I've run Cloud & Folder Sync, Scan Media Library and Convert Media manually with no effect.
Luke 42085 Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 How do you feel about this? I actually did this intentionally, for instance, you may want to stop the sync but keep the files. If we're going to stick with this then the confirmation message will obviously need adjustment. Thanks.
K22R8CT 25 Posted April 27, 2019 Author Posted April 27, 2019 I just saw your reply. I'd prefer it delete (which it does in the latest version) but I use Sync to maintain a library of pre-converted files due to CPU limitations, so it's not the standard use case.
Luke 42085 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Actually i think that's why many use the sync feature. 1

jayhunter 0 Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) Hi everyone! Sorry for digging up older stuff, but I just came across here, because I have an Issue with sync jobs as well. I will open a new topic for that. It would be lovely to have some option when deleting synced media from a device. Just asking for a friend, because he deleted alot of his favorite media when trying to fix sync problems by deleting the downloads and not realizing, that they would be physically deleted on the server source .............. Why not have it show some checkboxes? Delete Element Delete this element from X local storage O Media Library (EmbyServer) (x Keep backup?) Cancel | Confirm If completely deleting from Server - check again with the user: Delete from Media Library (EmbyServer) You choose to delete elements from your Media Library X Item list X items to delete This is a destructive process. Do you really want to do this? O Yes Cancel | Confirm Thanks and Blessings! Edited February 20, 2020 by jayhunter
Luke 42085 Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 not realizing, that they would be physically deleted on the server source .............. Hi, this is resolved in the upcoming 4.4 release. Thanks.
