Image extraction fallback for TV show

I have a TV show that's not in TVDB or anything, and I'd like emby to pull images directly from the video file, but I can't find that setting anywhere on the server. I feel like this was an option before, but I'm overlooking it.

 

How can I ask the server to extract video thumbnails from the video file when tvdb scraping fails?

Hi, click on each library in emby library setup, then make sure the screen grabber is enabled as one of the Image Fetchers for that library. Thanks.

ok I see why.. it looks like when the file was encoded by handbreak, the cover art is saved in the mp4, so emby is using that art file instead of taking a screenshot from a random part of the video.

 

I doubt there's a way to fix that with emby, but thanks for the info Luke

Correct we don't currently have a setting for that since in our experience most users have preferred the cover art.
