I am only saying that this will differ from one stream to the next. If every single person were unable to watch iptv, then we'd have mass hysteria here in the community. There is a dependency here on an external URL, and dependencies mean there will sometimes be problem. I am only asking questions to try and help understand the scenario and get to the bottom of it. Thanks.

Works fine in VLC but unfoirtunately not in Emby. Loads 5 Minutes (Spinning wheel).

 

 

Either dedicate time for this or remove m3u tuner completely it because it is not working, so emby premiere users like me will know

what to get when they pay for premiere subscription.

I want to get Premium too. Especially for the IPTV feature. But it's not working :(

emby will just hang with the spinning circle no matter what anyone tries to play from then on, until i restart emby..
it's weird... but never fails.... from a half dozen providers over the last 6 months or so it's always the same.
try and play a channel and emby fails to play it/the channel is out... no one can play ANY working channel from any machine/device till i reboot the server. : (

Even after a Emby restart I need to wait 5 minutes.

I want to get Premium too. Especially for the IPTV feature. But it's not working :(

 

I thought IPTV *only worked if you had Premium already? Anyway, I have occasional episodes like this, When I can reproduce with clear logs I will send info to help. It has happened on all 3 test OS's I have used so far, Linux, Windows, and Android. and when I load the Streams into MPV or VLC they play fine. No need to paste "How to Report a Problem"....I'm on it. (We don't have Permission to Test your Example)

I can download it without any problem. Seems to be a problem on your end.

 

This are akamai servers. Normally they aren't geo blocked.

Ok @@Luke...captured the log where the Stream is timing out and Meanwhile in my Living Room it's playing Just Fine on VLC on my Second Account....If you want the entire log I will PM it to you but the rest of the log is fine up to where I try to Stream this channel.....

Off topic question: how do you get the Icons there in place and the EPG info?

 

Otherwise: this spinning is exactly what I am seeing too. When waiting 5 minutes it starts.

This problem exists since january.

 

What I would do as a programmer is

- do what the users here do (use the provided m3u urls)

- see what happens

- check and double check the program code

 

It's kind of terrible to see in every 2nd post (feels like that) that you ask for log files.

 

You should try to repdoduce that problem yourself.

You are the software developer.

Then you go into your code and you double check everything whats related to that code which starts the live tv stream.

That is way faster than the timeframe between january and now and asking for logs all the time.

 

Nobody will provide you logs anymore soon when only copy & pasting that same question every and everytime.

 

This is no attack. I just try to make you understand that sometimes the developer needs to take action first.

Just click on Channels instead of Guide....Your M3U must support this...Usally ends in .m3u_plus

IKR and it has the exact error which I attached. Every peice of the Log I attach exposes me to possibly comprising my paid IPTV Service so I guest we'll just let others keep pinning their logs up here.

And also, Why the error was occurring I went to /var/lib/emby/logs and copied the last several lines so it must be the exact entry where the error occurred.

People already sent over logs more than once (at least the forum says ... - not my statement!) and that didn't help you. Why should it now?

If I would be you I would it test myself instead of just waiting for logs for months which say nothing in the end maybe.

I Sent you the logs privately and Here is the same channel playing on VLC in the Living room while Emby continues with the spinning Wheel....

In EODCrafter's case, his iptv provider is sending back a 403 response code saying Forbidden.

 

Why are they doing this? That question is specific to every provider. Sometimes customizing the user agent field can help fool them.
