Star Wars Collection Not showing all movies

Episodes 2 and 3 don't show up.

all the paths for both movies are fine, playback is fine. i checked the xml, looks fine:

i had tried adding them manually, but they just duplicated entries int the xml but didnt show up, i tried adding other movies to other collections and they worked.

 

although, i just tried adding episode 2, and a random movie to another collection. episode 2 did not show up, but the other movie did.

 

episode 2 is in the xml for the ace ventura collection, but does not show up

I did, sorry thats what i meant when i said i added them manually. It gives me the item added popup. But doesnt show in te collection. When i check the xml, its there.

Have you made sure that the emby user has access to that particular movie?

yes its my user, so admin, like i said, i cant play the movie with that user, so i assume that means it has access. is there any specific setting i should check just to be sure (i obviously give myself access to all libraries, but ill double check)

 

 

edit: just checked with another user, and still missing movie

 

also just added two other random movies to the collection

 

i also deleted the collection.xml, and hit the refresh box sets in the plugin page. still missing

Hi all, I have a similar issue with a couple of box sets too and thought it might help to solve the issue with more examples. For me its 2 different box sets, that I have noticed, the Bourne collection and the Shrek collection. Both are missing one film from the collection even though all the metadata is correct and i can view both films. My issue is slightly different though, each of the collection.xml files have the missing films listed multiple times. Bourne example below. The shrek one is just the same. I have also deleted both collection.xml files and also tried adding manually but they never show up.

I notice the drive letter reference.  Is it possible that location is pointed to in two different ways in different places in the library (like once by drive letter and another by UNC)?

 

Just a shot in the dark but the multiple entries is indicative of the system not thinking the item exists in the collection so it keeps adding it.

All the films in the same collection are on the same drive and in the same folder, it only the one that does not show up.

I don't think that can be it.

 

The fact that auto box sets keeps adding it means that, when it queries for the members of the set, it isn't getting it back either.

A friend of mine had a similar issue, whereby they had 2 Star Wars collections, created by the Auto Boxsets plugin.

 

One collection had 8 movies in, the 2nd had the 9th !!

 

I deleted all of the [bOXSET] files (in /data/collections) and then reran the Refresh Box Sets option in the plugin, which fixed it in this instance.

Have you tried removing the files from the library, deleting the collection, rescan the library, add the movies back to the library, rescan library, and then create the collection? In that order. Edited by Doofus

so i deleted all the boxsets in data/collections and refreshed. strangely episode 2 was there, but now episode 1 and 3 were missing... i decided to rename the and changed "...Episode_III_-_Rev..." to "...Episode_III_Rev...". deleted the collections and refreshed... and its fixed!!!

 

 

so i dunno if it was just a compilation of a few weirdnesses (old xml, strange naming "_-_") i dunno

Hi Luke, Removing the custom css got the same result, it will not show The Bourne Legacy. 

 

Happy2Play, I removed the section as you asked and scanned the library and refreshed the Auto Boxsets and it still only shows the four films but keeps adding "Legacy" to the collections.xml.

I have looked through my collections and found another 2 that are doing the same, Back to the Future part III and Shrek 4, they dont show up in collection but are getting added multiple times to the collecton.xml. Every other boxset (collection) about 140 of them are all fine, just those 3 and I can't seem to see what is different about them. As I said not a big problem but just very strange.

just to report my collections:

Shrek and bourne are fine for me, although im pretty sure it took all of this resetting to fix it cuz IIRC after you mentioned bourne, i looked at my collection and i think i was missing one b4 i just wasnt too focused on it at the time to really take notice. but now that i look at it, i think the bourne legacy was missing b4

I'm seeing the same issue.

 

My server recently updated to 3.4.1.0. Since then, it appears that some movies that I have recently replaced with higher quality versions are not showing up in Collections. For example, I recently upgraded the entire "Halloween" series of movies in my library. I literally replaced the existing movies with hi-def versions of the same movie, and named them the exact same name as the movies they were replacing. When I scanned the library after making the movie upgrades (and after the Emby Server update), 5 of the 10 movies appeared in the Collection, while the other 5 show up as individual movies. When I looked at the collection.xml file (Users>Name>AppData>Roaming>Emby-Server>data>collections>Halloween [boxset]>collection.xml), ALL 10 of the movies are listed (some twice, as I tried to add them to the collection twice), yet they do not show up as items in the collection when I look at them inside the emby server.

 

  1. I have tried removing all 10 of the movies from the Collection, and even deleting the Collection itself, and starting over by adding them back in one at a time.  No change.
  2. I have tried removing all 10 of the movies from the Collection, and even deleting the Collection itself, and then removing the movies from the library (temporarily locating them in a non-library folder). Then restarting the server. Then I deleted all the .nfo files in the movies and put the movies back into their proper library folder, and did a fresh re-scan of the library. I then tried adding them to a new Collection (with a new name to eliminate any chance of the system finding a remnant of the original collection). Again, the same 5 showed up as items in the new collection, and the other 5 showed up only as individual movies. Again, when I looked at the collection.xlm file, ALL 10 of the movies were listed.

I have attached the relevant log file and a screen shot of the collection.xml file showing all 10 of the movies listed, and a screen shot of the movie icons as they appear inside the "Movies" section of the Emby Server.

 

Interestingly, I have made many, many of these hi-def movie upgrades in the past, naming them the same as the original movies being replaced, and they all showed up perfectly in the correct Collection. The problem described above just started after the upgrade to 3.4.1.0.
