Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Has anyone figured out how to add this to the library properly? What do you mean? It is still the original series.
invertedknife 13 Posted May 10, 2018 Author Posted May 10, 2018 (edited) well now there are 2 version of season 4, the first version has 15 episodes and was aired in 2013. but this month netflix released a remixed version that recuts the season into 22 episodes. netflix has actually replaced the new recut version as season 4 on their website. Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 (edited) Unless a provider makes the changes everything will have to done manually. Some discussion here didn't see anything at TVDB but is should be brought up on their forum. https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/5aec7aabc3a3682ec9000454 https://forums.thetvdb.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=47695&start=10 Edited May 10, 2018 by Happy2Play
Luke 42079 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 By default, the tvdb series provider has the highest priority in Emby. The general answer to this question is that the recommended approach is to organize your files to match the episode listings from your highest priority tv metadata provider (probably tvdb unless you customized this). Or, you deviate from this, but then you probably will want to lock the metadata for the ones that don't match.

Is there a way to have a season 4.1 or something? how can i create a new season folder in the metadata?
Luke 42079 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 You can create a season folder named anything you like and then you probably just want to lock both the season and all the episodes inside in order to avoid incorrect internet metadata matching.

That would mean the metadata says they are season 4. How are they named? I suspect you will have to manually edit every episodes metadata.

I suspect you will have to manually edit every episodes metadata. The folder is named Season 4 Remix, and the episode inside are named "E1 - Title", "E2 - Title" and so on
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 @@Luke It would appear there is no way to do this in Emby as Season requires valid values.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 (edited) Had to manually edit season.nfo and remove "<seasonnumber>4</seasonnumber>" (on remix folder) then Refresh scan new media and updates. This basically forces Emby to read the Title field. ***Since the seasons get merged via Emby there is no way to make this edit in the ui since only one season is presented. You have to manually edit at folder level. Edited May 13, 2018 by Happy2Play

Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 That will be the issue, if you don't save metadata with media then it is only saved in the database. You could try this, add this season.nfo to your Remix folder and perform a Refresh metadata "Scan for new and updated files". season.nfo 1
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 (edited) Sorry you will need to edit the art/poster tag as it points to my image. You will have to manually upload a image for the season. Edited May 13, 2018 by Happy2Play 1

porkbone 47 Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Thanks! Worked great - you will still needed to edit the metadata for each episode, but separated season 4 from remix 4 perfectly.
naeonline 27 Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 TheTVDB finally allowed the remix episodes as specialshttps://www.thetvdb.com/series/arrested-development/seasons/0 Episodes 8-29
