Playback Speed Question

Hello all!

 

I know this has come up in the past in the feature request section, but thought I would post here.

 

I know this isn't currently a feature, but has anyone found a work around to be able to adjust video playback speed when playing videos from your Emby library?

 

Wasn't sure if maybe there was a plug-in or other software that interfaced with Emby that would allow this.

Hi.  I don't think this is something that could be reliably done in many situations and that is why you pretty much don't see it in streaming media players.  To do this would potentially require much larger bandwidth (2, 3 or 4 times what would be required to play normally).

Sorry about that, I never saw a notification for this and didn't think I received a response.

 

Appreciate the reply though and I guess that makes sense.

 

I wasn't sure how easy/difficult it would be tom implement something like this and thought maybe there was some kind of workaround even if Emby didn't have this natively built in.
